Keith Elwell touches down
LEGENDARY former Widnes hooker Keith Elwell celebrated his 73rd birthday earlier this week - and that is good enough reason to make him the subject of this week's #ThrowbackThursday.
In this picture taken by the then Widnes World photographer, Aussie Glen Cameron, long-serving Chemics rake Keith Elwell is crossing for one the 87 tries he scored in a phenomenal 591 appearances for the club.
Chiefy Elwell was in the side during the Chemics era as Cup Kings - and went on tour with Great Britain in 1977 for the World Championship.
