WIDNES Vikings suffered their first Championship defeat of the season with a 34-24reverse at home to Barrow Raiders in the Round Five televised by Premier Sports.
It started well for Vikings with early tries from Sam Wilde and Ste Tyrer.
Barrow responded when well-travelled scrum half Jarrod Sammut nipped over from a scrum.
The try of the match came to the visitors ten minutes before the break when wing Tee Ritson dashed in at the corner for the first of his brace after a remarkable spin from the fleet-footed Hakim Miloudi.
Barrow hit the front just after half time with Miloudi scoring out wide and the visitors extended the lead with two penalties and a try from Luke Cresswell.
The Cumbrians' prop Carl Forster added one more rendering Matty Fozard late one a mere consolation.
