WIDNES Vikings wing Patrick Ah Van has been charged with a Grade E dangerous throw on Ashley Gibson in last week's defeat by Wakefield.
Ah Van was sin-binned for the offence - but if found guilty he faces between four and eight games on the sidelines.
The stormy game also saw Vikings centre Stef Marsh charged with a Grade C tripping offence, which carries a sanction of 2-3 and Aaron Heremaia has been called in for punching. Both are allowed to submit early guilty pleas.
Heremaia was sent off on the night and if he takes an early guilty plea it could lead to no further action.
Wakefield's Scott Moore has three separate charges arising from the game a - Grade A contrary behaviour, Grade B high tackle and a Grade A punching.
