NKW Landscapes F.C. 1 Bridge Timber F.C. 3 The eagerly awaited league match between NKW and Bridge Timber exploded into action in the 5th minute after NKW were awarded a penalty after a clumsy tackle in the Bridge box, Ex timber player Gary Jacques stepped up and despite Andy Stringer going the right way,Jacques found the net to put NKW 1 up. The game swung from end to end with Evans for Nkw going close and Karl Thomas unluckily seeing a goal disallowed after good play form Lewis Watson and Thomas Whalley, With Bridge coming more and more into the game, Timbers back line of Evans,Cumpper,Murphy and Jenkins kept NKw chances to a minimum and Watson and Ste Hickson on the right were the ones doing damage and created good chances but Stuey Kirby in the NKW goal was equal to them and NKW went in at half time 1 goal up. After a halt time team talk from Alan Cunningham and Andy Porter, Bridge reacted in the right way and were quick out the blocks and 48 minutes in and after good work from Hickson on the left, A corner was awarded, Mike Chesters pinpoint cross to the back post was headed home from Andy Gott to give Bridge a deserved equaliser. Three minutes later Ste Hickson turned Timmy Dickson, and although there seemed to be little contact, a penalty was awarded. With Ste Coady and Liam Sweeney not on the pitch, Jamie Cumpper placed the ball on the spot and slammed the ball home for 2-1. Nkw then had a 15 minute spell with lots of posession, and although Dickson had a good header on target, Mike Chesters was in the right place for Bridge and cleared the ball off the line. Lewis Watson controlled the midfield and his quick pass out to Hickson nearly gave Bridge another goal but Kirby saved well from hicksons low drive before Bridge introduced Jordan Neary into the fray and after a neat ball from Andy Gott, Neary showed his pace and unselfishly played in Karl Thomas to find the corner for 3-1. Bridge Timbers man of the match went to Lewis Watson.
