Bridge Timber F.C. 3 Barley F.C. 1 Bridge beat a good Barley side 3-1 at pavilions with a goal from Andy Gott and 2 goals from Connor Taylor, Despite Bridge starting the game with 10 men they had the first attempt on goal when Connor Taylor danced throught the Barley defence but his shot was easily gathered by Kyle Mayers. In the 31st minute Bridge took the lead when Andy Gott back heeled home after a goalmouth scramble and the game was then evenly contested with both defences shutting out any real chances with Karl Jenkins, Peter Murphy and particularly Lee Evans and Jamie Cumpper in the Timber defence in outstanding form while Mike Chesters defying his young age in the midfield, Ste Hickson workin tirelessly and Liam Sweeney all playing well Bridge went further ahead just after the hour mark when Karl Thomas was fouled in the Barley penalty box, Connor Taylor calmly sent Mayers the wrong way for 2-0. Barley pulled one back with a towering header in the 75th minute before Taylor wrapped it up with an inspired goal after Ian Rockcliffe saved well in the Bridge goal and his long kick was controlled by Taylor, after seeing his initial shot saved he headed home to make it 3-1. Andy Gott was Bridge Timbers man of the match, Andy Dunning was Barleys.
