Bridge remained top of the Runcorn sunday league despite a 3-2 loss against a good Tricorn side.
Chances were few and far between with both side cancelling each other out but Tricorn went ahead after catchin Timbers defence napping, Karl Thomas equalised for Bridge after Liam Sweeneys shot was saved, Thomas on hand to tap home the rebound.Tricorn then hit back and went 2-1 up just before the half time whistle.
Paul Dwyer then put Tricorn 3-1 up with a cross come shot and a dubious decision denied Bridge a goal after the ref judged the ball not to have crossed the line,, altho it was clearly 2 yards over, Bridge rallied and got a penalty when Lewis Watson was brought down, Connor Taylor fired home from the spot to make it 3-2. despite both teams going close, Tricorn held on for a 3-2 victory.
Bridge Timbers man of the match was Liam Sweeney whi was Bridge Timbers outstanding player. Robbie Davie was m.o.m for Tricorn.
