A SIGNED Beatles record, which was originally bought from a music shop in Widnes, is expected to fetch more than £12,000 at auction.
The fully signed Love Me Do single was bought from Dawson’s Music Shop on October 6, 1962, the day after its release, and will be up for grabs, this Saturday.
Stephen Bailey, of The Beatles Shop, said: “This year it’s our 18th auction event and in the Capital of Culture year we hope it will be an amazing Liverpool Beatles auction.”
The auction will be held in The Paul McCartney Auditorium at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts on Saturday, August 23, starting at 10.30am.
Entry is by catalogue, available in advance from The Beatles Shop on Mathew Street, Liverpool or at the venue on the day.
Viewing Day is Friday, August 22 between 11am and 4pm at The Paul McCartney Auditorium.
