Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced a new summer holiday destination.
In response to high demand for Greek holidays, the airline and tour operator revealed that customers can now choose Leros as a destination for Summer 2025.
Customers can reach the island via Kos Airport, with weekly services departing from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
Ferry and shuttle transfers are included for those travelling with Jet2holidays.
The island, part of the Dodecanese islands, is known for its clear waters, sandy beaches, and relaxed atmosphere.
It is also home to the capital, Platanos, with its ridge of hills and clusters of windmills; Agia Marina, offering traditional residences and stately homes; and Panteli, a traditional fishing village.
Nearby islands Kalymnos, Kos, and Nisyros are easy to explore from Leros.
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays CEO, Steve Heapy said: "The launch of Leros, a stunning and brand-new Greek island from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, is fantastic news for our customers and it comes in direct response to the demand for our award-winning holidays.
"As a result of today’s announcement, we are expanding our summer sun programme significantly, and we know that the introduction of the island of Leros will be hugely popular with customers and independent travel agents."
Paul Winfield, aviation director for Liverpool John Lennon Airport, added: "We’re delighted to welcome another new destination for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays customers, which can be accessed via their weekly departure to Kos during Summer 2025, as we prepare to welcome their fifth aircraft to be based here for next summer and flights to 23 sunshine destinations."
The announcement of Leros as a new destination is part of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays' effort to expand their summer programme, aiming to provide customers with an even bigger range of summer favourites.
