RESIDENTS of Runcorn and Widnes are being asked to complete a survey on housing that will shape the borough's long-term development plans.
Halton Borough Council has sent the Housing Needs Survey to 16,000 addresses within the borough.
Those who have not received a letter are still invited to complete the questionnaire.
The survey will ask residents about their current home, housing history and future housing requirements
This follows the council's announcement that it has begun drafting a new housing strategy aimed at enhancing the choice, quality and affordability of homes, with plans to publish it in the first half of 2025.
Cllr Phil Harris, the council's lead on housing strategy, said: “Supporting residents to live in decent and affordable homes, surrounded by safe and thriving communities, is one of the council’s top priorities.
“Our population is also ageing, so we need to understand requirements for properties with adaptations and level access and future demand for supported accommodation.
“It is vital that residents are able to access housing that meets their needs throughout their life.”
The council has appointed specialist consultancy Arc4 to undertake the survey on its behalf, and those who respond will remain anonymous.
Those seeking to complete the 15-minute survey before the December 16 deadline should visit app.keysurvey.co.uk/f/41754119/f6db/ or call 0800 612 9133.
