A CHINESE takeaway in Runcorn has received a one-star food hygiene rating.
The poor rating has been handed to China X'press on Church Street.
It comes following a visit from inspectors who represent the Food Standards Agency.
The ratings are issued by the Food Standards Agency and are made publicly available online.
Following their visit, inspectors found that major improvement is necessary in the takeaway’s management of food safety and its hygienic food handling.
The FSA's website also reveals the cleanliness and condition of facilities and building are ‘generally satisfactory’.
