A PUB that was hit with a zero-star food hygiene rating has now bounced back.
Earlier this year, The Cookhouse Pub and Kitchen, based on Liverpool Road, received the shocking score following an inspection from the Food Standards Agency.
In terms of the management of food safety and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, inspectors found that major improvement was necessary at the Cookhouse Pub and Kitchen.
While in the hygienic food handling category improvement is necessary, inspectors said.
However, Food Standards Agency representatives have since visited the venue and handed it a much-improved four-star rating.
On their inspection on October 22, inspectors found that cleanliness and condition of facilities and the building was ‘very good’.
While The Cookhouse Pub and Kitchen’s hygienic food handling and management of food safety was ‘generally satisfactory’.
