A NEW monthly drop-in service offering free support has been launched in Runcorn.
The initiative comes from Onward Homes and Plus Dane Housing, providing advice on benefits, cost-of-living aid, and repairs.
The next session is on Thursday, November 28, from 10am until 2pm at Castlefields Community Centre.
After this month, the service will pause for Christmas before resuming in January.
Plus Dane's housing manager, Ali Phillipson, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating: "We are pleased to be able to team up with our friends at Onward to help support local residents and signpost them to the support they might need."
Joanne Danaher, Onward's Director of Housing and Home Ownership, reinforced the organisations' commitment to community support, stating: "Getting the basics right and listening to our customers is the foundation for everything we do at Onward."
Through Plus Dane's winter campaign, customers in need can reach out to the Engagement and Partnerships team on 0800 169 2988 or via email.
Onward customers seeking assistance with various issues, including money advice and mental health, can email customerservices@onward.co.uk or call 0300 555 0600.
The new drop-in service aims to provide immediate, practical help to customers of the two housing associations, reflecting the organisations' commitment to tackling the challenges posed by the current economic climate.
Both companies are working to ensure their customers receive the support they need, particularly during the winter months when extra help is often required.
