AN inspiring six-year-old chose to cut off her long locks and donate them to a charity that creates wigs for sick children.
Keisha Buckley-Unsworth selflessly said good by to her brunette waves to help other children her age who have experienced hair loss.
A pupil at St. Bede's Infant School in Widnes, Keisha was inspired by her older sister Karla who has donated her hair to The Little Princess Trust twice previously.
The charity provides free real hair wigs to children and young adults, up to 24 years old, who have lost their hair through cancer treatment or other health conditions.
It also funds childhood cancer research with the hope of finding ‘kinder and more effective treatments’.
Keisha visited Xpressions Hair Salon in Widnes where hair stylist Tracey Woods kindly assisted in cutting a whole eight inches off her hair.
The six-year-old specifically requested Tracey, as she has a “great rapport with her, and expressed that another child would benefit from her beautiful hair”.
Commenting on her charitable donation, Keisha said: “Now someone else can have beautiful hair just like me."
