A school inspection has praised the "tangible sense of community."
Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School in Widnes has received a glowing review from the Catholic Schools Inspectorate (CSI).
The school was graded as good for its Catholic life, mission, collective worship, and religious education.
Student behaviour was described as "very good," with pupils being "respectful and open-hearted in their interactions."
Inspectors found that "students interact with one another courteously and kindly, showing respect and openness in their exchanges."
Students also reportedly feel "secure in the school" and believe in their teachers' "love for them."
The school's team and leadership were also commended for their contribution to creating a strong sense of community.
Inspectors said that "staff are positive witnesses, and the warmth of their welcome is highly commendable.
"Pastoral care systems are carefully designed, reflecting a genuine commitment to the students."
Teaching staff were found to have a "secure level of subject knowledge, with high expectations for the quality of religious education, and feel obligated to delivering the best possible experience for students."
The religious education team was also praised for their planning and commitment to change.
Principal Mrs Scott said: "We are delighted to receive this news and exceptionally pleased that the wonderful work of our students, team, governing body, and families have been recognised in the Catholic Schools Inspectorate report.
"We will continue to build and develop on our commitment to ensuring the highest standards and expectations for our school are met."
