The Halton and Widnes districts of the legion are welcoming individuals, organisations, and associations to attend the annual civic remembrance services on Sunday, November 10.
In Widnes, the service will be held at the War Memorial in Victoria Park.
The civic procession will start assembling at 10.25am at Esposito’s Café near the bandstand in the park, moving off at 10.35am to reach the memorial by 10.45am.
For Runcorn, the service will be held at the Cenotaph on Greenway Road.
The procession will gather at St Michael’s Church on Greenway Road at 2.30pm, moving off at 2.45pm, to arrive at the Cenotaph by 3pm.
A separate rededication of the Gardens of Remembrance at the Runcorn War Memorial took place on November 4 at 2pm.
The Royal British Legion is also urging the public and organisations to observe a two-minute silence at 11am on November 11.
Halton Borough Council has agreed to endorse this appeal on behalf of its members and staff.
