THE Mersey Gateway Bridge has reopened following a two-car crash which saw causalities taken to hospital.
Cheshire Police officers attended the scene of a collision at around 9.37am this morning, Thursday, on the northbound side of the bridge in Widnes
Slow traffic was reported and the road was partially blocked due to the crash which took place between Bridgewater Expressway to A557 Queensway.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "The collision involved two vehicles. Both parties have gone to hospital as a precaution to be checked over."
The bridge has now reopened and the accident has cleared.
