A talented student from Runcorn has taken a significant step towards her dream of becoming a professional dancer.
Olivia Jerram, 16, has secured a place at Liverpool Theatre School, having impressed with an outstanding audition.
The centre of excellence has previously shaped successful stage and screen stars who have gone on to feature in top shows such as Mamma Mia!, Frozen, SIX, Starlight Express, Blood Brothers, and Wicked.
Olivia, who discovered her love for dance at the age of three, trained at Theatre Works Cheshire before landing a spot at the prestigious performing arts school.
The former Sandymoor Ormiston Academy pupil is now one of the select few on the elite dance training programme.
Speaking about her success, Olivia said: "I was so happy when I found out I’d been given the chance to train at Liverpool Theatre School.
"I’m really excited about taking my next steps towards becoming a professional dancer.
"My dream is to perform in shows around the world and eventually open my own dance school.
"I already teach a pre-school dance class at weekends, and I find it very rewarding to share my passion for dance with others."
Maxine Ellis, principal at Liverpool Theatre School, said: "It’s clear that Olivia is a very talented dancer who has huge potential to succeed in the industry.
"We’re thrilled to welcome her to Liverpool Theatre School, where she will have the opportunity to develop her skills, work on her technique and grow as a performer in preparation for her future career."
The Ofsted 'outstanding' performing arts school only accepts the most talented students onto their professional training programmes in dance, musical theatre, and acting.
With patrons including dance legend Wayne Sleep OBE and TV and musical theatre star Anita Dobson, the school offers training designed to equip young people with the skills needed to work in the industry.
The centre of excellence encourages applications from diverse backgrounds and offers several fully funded places and bursaries to make high-level training more accessible.
