THE CEO of a Runcorn firm that specialises in nutrition products has been recognised with an ambitious leader award.
Protein Works, which produces nutrition-packed shakes, meals and snacks, says CEO Laura Keir has been recognised as one of LDC’s top 50 most ambitious leaders for 2024.
The annual award honours entrepreneurs, CEOs and managing directors who are ‘transforming business practices in an ever-changing world’.
Out of more than 700 nominations, Laura was announced alongside other winners at a celebratory event in London.
Laura began working at Protein Works in a marketing capacity in 2016, and since then, she has helped to grow the business, using a keen focus on data trends and a consumer-first approach.
Under her leadership, the business is going from strength to strength and announced strongest-ever revenues of £42.8million earlier this year.
Laura said: “I am honoured to win the LDC top 50 most ambitious leaders award.
“Having joined Protein Works almost nine years ago, I am incredibly proud of my journey and the growth we have managed to achieve when it comes to our customers, community, team and brand.
“The award has furthered my passion for serving up the best nutritional shakes and snacks in the functional food space.
“I look forward to pushing ahead further with our truly incredible team, to enjoy the win-win of watching them achieve while delivering the very best for every customer who shares the journey with us.
“We have already sold more than 300million shakes, but of course, we want the next milestone.”
