FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze involving plant machinery which they say was ‘started deliberately’.
Fire engines from Runcorn and Widnes responded to a call to Murdishaw Avenue, Runcorn, at 7.25pm on Sunday, October 13.
The crews wore oxygen masks and used a hose to bring the fire under control.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters used a set of breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish a fire involving small plant machinery.
“The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.”
