A CAR collided with an object causing a fuel spillage on the M56 in Runcorn.
Fire crews were dispatched to the scene of the crash on the carriageway at around 6.57pm yesterday evening, Saturday.
It was found on arrival that a vehicle had collided with an object 'causing a fuel leak from its tank'.
A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson added: "Crews blocked the leak and made the scene safe by clearing the fuel from the highway."
