A broadband provider is set to 'revolutionise' internet access.
Grain Broadband is set to introduce its service in Widnes, aiming to transform the way people 'work, learn, and play online'.
The company plans to extend its Full Fibre network to thousands of homes, providing each premises with its own fibre connection.
This expansion will allow residents and businesses in the town to enjoy internet speeds of up to 1Gb, a significant increase in the town's digital infrastructure.
Richard Cameron, CEO at Grain Broadband, said: "We're excited to offer Widnes residents an internet service that can keep up with their digital lives.
"We're not just delivering faster internet; we are also saving customers a significant amount on their monthly broadband bill.
"Whether you're streaming your favourite shows, working from home, or gaming, we're helping to build a more connected Widnes."
The rollout is set to begin in October, with the first customers expected to be connected in early 2025.
To celebrate the launch, Grain is offering special introductory rates and free standard installations for early sign-ups.
Grain has committed not to increase prices during a customer's contract term.
Residents and businesses can check availability and pre-register on their website.
