JUNIOR sports teams in Runcorn and Widnes could receive a boost from merseyflow with the chance to win a free sports kit for their entire team.
Five team sets of numbered and branded junior sports kits up to the value of £1,000 are up for grabs for five lucky Under 14 teams as part of merseyflow’s new Halton Junior Team Spirit competition, which launches on Monday, October 14.
The competition has been created by merseyflow to support local clubs that help young people with players up to the age of 14, in the region access sport to improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing. The local clubs can play anything from netball, gymnastics and dance to hockey, football and rugby, the competition is open to any sport.
To be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is send an image of your team that shows your true ‘teamwork spirit’ along with a maximum of 300 words that explains why you think your team should win to: teamspirit@merseyflow.co.ukbefore the cut-off date of Monday, November 4.
The entries will be judged by an appointed merseyflow panel, and the most creative team images that best showcase ‘teamwork’ will win the five kits available.
Neil Conway, Chief Executive of merseyflow, said: “We know that junior sports teams are self-funded and rely on donations to cover day-to-day running costs and equipment. With our Halton Junior Team Spirit competition, we’re keen to help support local clubs and recognise the fantastic work they do to provide kids with an outlet to have fun and stay healthy.”
