The North West could be home to Britain's favourite path.
The Ramblers, a walking charity, have been on the hunt to find the best path in the country.
This summer, people from across the UK shared their favourite paths with the charity, explaining why their chosen route deserves to win.
A panel of judges, including award-winning adventurer Alastair Humphreys and Jack Cornish, head of paths at the Ramblers, have narrowed down the entries to one from each category.
The public can now vote for their favourite path, with the winning route potentially being from the North West - Loughrigg Fell to Todd Crag.
Mr Cornish said: "We were blown away by the number of entries we received.
"It’s clear the great British public are just as passionate about paths as the Ramblers are.
"We saw so many moving reasons behind the submissions, from paths walked by generations of the same family to paths that have led people to better health, more connected communities and to history and nature."
Mr Humphreys added: "I got involved in this campaign as I'm a big fan of running and walking and exploring our fabulous network of footpaths.
"But I'm also aware of what a fragile, under-appreciated resource and privilege they are, so I support all the Ramblers' work to protect our footpaths."
The winning path will be the one with the highest number of votes when the public vote closes.
To vote for the path you think deserves to be crowned Britain’s Favourite, visit their website between Monday, September 23, until 11.59pm on Sunday, October 6.
Only one vote per person will be counted.
