FIREFIGHTERS rushed to Runcorn East Station car park after a vehicle was set on fire.
At 9.15pm last night, Saturday, one fire engine from Widnes attended Barnfield Road in Runcorn after receiving reports of a vehicle on fire.
The vehicle, a 4x4, was in Runcorn East Station car park and was approached by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.
The crew used a hose reel water jet to put out the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately.
The police have been informed about the incident and anyone with information should call 101.
