A BUSINESS with a takeaway in Widnes could be named as Uber Eats’ Restaurant of the Year.
Aros Kitchen has been named as a finalist in the awards.
This means it has also been selected in the top 10 best restaurants in the north west on Uber Eats.
The eatery, which is owned by 24-year-old Warrington resident, Aras Younis, has takeaways in Warrington, Widnes and Newton-le-Willows.
Its Warrington branch is located on Longshaw Street in Bewsey it and has previously received raving reviews. It even featured in a TikTok video in which a diner described the food as ‘insane’ and ‘so fresh’. The video attracted more than 240,000 views.
In this year’s Restaurant of the Year Awards, 130 businesses have been shortlisted from 12 regions within the UK and Ireland.
The winner will receive a cash prize of £100,000, with runners-up also receiving a cash prize to help grow their businesses, alongside a marketing support package from Uber Eats.
Aras took to social media to share the news that Aros Kitchen has been named as a finalist for the second year running.
He said: “Its an honour to be selected in the top 10 best restaurants in the north west on Uber Eats.
“There is only one thing better, being crowned champion of the north west!
“We can not do this without your support.”
