A 44-year-old man died in his bedroom and was found with wraps of brown powder, an inquest has heard.
Cheshire Coroners’ Court formally opened an inquest into the death of Paul Jones on Wednesday.
The court heard that the 44-year-old was found dead in his bedroom in Runcorn by a family member on May 29.
The paramedics were called to attend, and CPR was attempted, but Mr Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was heard that seven wraps of brown powder were found in his bedroom, and his cause of death has been deemed unnatural.
Senior Coroner for Cheshire, Jacqueline Devonish, formally opened the inquest into Mr Jones’ death. It will be heard in full on January 20.
