AN EMPLOYEE who stole more than £30,000 worth of mobile phones in Runcorn has pleaded guilty.
Anthony Quinn, of Bedford Road in Liverpool, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday morning.
The court heard that between August 4 and September 9 2020, Quinn stole 31 mobile phones from his employer, DHL Ltd, in Runcorn.
The 58-year-old first appeared in Warrington Magistrates’ Court in June 2022, where he originally pleaded not guilty to theft by an employee.
However, in his appearance in front of Judge Medland on Friday morning, he changed his plea to guilty.
The court heard that the worth of the stolen mobile phones was that of £33,614.
Quinn is due to be sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on September 17.
