QUEUES are building ahead of rush hour on the M56 after collision with expected delays of over an hour.
The crash took place between on the M56 Eastbound between junction 14, Chester Services, and junction 12, Runcorn.
One lane has been closed and normal traffic is expected to clear at 5pm, with delays of an hour and a half predicted against expected traffic.
Delays are also expected westbound as traffic is slow passing the scene, with queues extending back to junction 11, Warrington.
"At 3.32pm today police were called to a collision involving three to four vehicles on the M56 between junction 14 and 12," said a spokesperson for Cheshire Police.
"The aren’t thought to have been any injuries. The cars are being removed from the carriageway."
