POLICE are trying to trace the owner of various antiques stolen from a house in Widnes.
Officers discovered a variety of valuable items when they arrested a man under suspicion of handling stolen goods in the Cherry Sutton area.
The haul included vases, jewellery boxes and ornaments.

An antique ceramic Japanese egg and vintage leather glass bottle are among the items that have been retrieved.
Anyone who recognises these items or knows someone who may have had them taken should call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting reference 24000667513.
