THE MYSTERY of why iconic actors from the beloved TV show Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps may have been solved as the duo announce a new TV programme.
Will Mellor and Ralf Little were spotted back in May when pictures of them paying a visit to Space Runcorn, a bakery on Regent Street.
The actors stared in the Runcorn-based hit TV show, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, between 2001 and 2011.
While they were in Runcorn, they paid a visit to the site of the former pub, now Buddhist temple, that was used as The Archer in the iconic BBC programme.
While Will kept his cards a little closer to his chest, Ralf teased that fans could expect something soon when he posted to social media about the trip.
“Look who’s back outside The Archer from Two Pints,” his post read.
“It’s a Buddhist temple now. Times have changed!
“Will explain soon why we were here.”
Will and Ralf were also spotted at a Pit Stop Café in Penketh, Warrington, near the former Fiddlers Ferry Power Station the day after.
The duo were spotted with a camera crew at the popular café, pictures of which were shared to social media.
It seems that, while fans hoped for a reunion of the programme, a new TV series will be making its way to screens soon.
Will & Ralf Should Know Better is a four-part series that follows the stars as they embark on challenges that is set to test their attitudes on aging, spirituality and even living off the grid, part of which was filmed in Warrington and Runcorn back in May.
“I’ve wanted to do a series like this for years,” said Will.
“Going on a journey with Ralf to open our minds and push our limits … what could possibly go wrong?!
“We’re both in our 40s now and probably a bit set in our ways, so now is the perfect time to see how we could be doing life better.
“Hopefully, we’ll come out of it better equipped for the modern world and, ideally, still in one piece.”
The series has been commissioned for UKTV by Jason Dawson and will air later this year.
“I am thrilled to be working with Will again as it’s always so much fun,” said Ralf.
“We’ve just finished our podcast tour and I thought I might get a bit of a break from him!
“This time we get to explore how we should be living in the modern world while educating ourselves at the same time.
“I can’t wait to get going.”
