A NEW tap room has opened in Sutton Weaver, taking over the site from an award-winning brewery after its shock closure.
Sutton Quay Tap opened its doors on July 5 in Quays Park Industrial Estate on Clifton Road in Runcorn.
Rock The Boat Brewery took over the site from award-winning Chapter Brewing, which announced its shock closure back in April.
Now, the Sutton Quay Tap hopes to bring Rock The Boat Brewery’s range of cask ales, IPAs and specialty beers to Sutton Weaver.
“This is obviously a great addition to our area following a recent closure,” said David Grey, Halton CAMRA chair.
“We look forward to local people visiting the tap room and sampling some brilliant beer.”
The tap bar will be open on Fridays from 4pm until 9pm and Saturdays between 3pm and 9pm.
To compliment the beers, which have an extensive number of traditional flavours, food will also be available on some days by Rosie Black Catering, which makes quality food and bespoke chocolates.
“We are always open to new avenues to get our beer to customers,” said Tomasz Kaczmarek, owner of Rock The Boat Brewery.
“We have many outlets in Liverpool and the north west through pubs selling cask ales and shops who sell our bottle conditioned beers.
“The opening of our own tap room in a place known for selling great beer is a fantastic opportunity.”
