A STATELY home that is ‘steeped in history and elegance’ will be opening its doors for an ‘incredibly memorable’ murder mystery.
Knowsley Hall, which is an historic stately home near Prescot, is set to open its doors and host an unforgettable and immersive murder mystery evening.
On Friday, August 2, guests who fancy themselves a Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot can take part in a glamorous and suspenseful evening on the estate.
The mystery, organised by Murder 57, takes place at the wedding reception of high school sweethearts, Jack and Jill Smith, where it becomes clear that not everyone is thrilled for the couple.
A glass of sparkling wine will be given to guests upon arrival at 7pm, followed by a three-course meal in the grand State Dining Room.
“We are very excited to be hosting what promises to be an enthralling and incredibly memorable event at Knowsley Hall,” said Michael Hamilton, general manager.
“The venue, which is steeped in history and elegance, is the ideal setting for an evening of intrigue and, given the popularity of Knowsley Hall, we felt it offered an opportunity for us to showcase the Earl and Countess of Derby’s home in a truly unique fashion.
“Tickets are limited, so I encourage people to act quickly if they’d like a seat at the ill-fated newlyweds’ wedding reception.”
The night won’t just involve solving a chilling murder though, as once guests have cracked the case they can take to the dancefloor for the rest of the evening.
There is also the choice to extend the evening with an overnight stay in one of Knowsley Hall’s magnificent en-suite bedrooms.
Tickets to the event cost £125 per person, the bed and breakfast option for two will cost £500 and both are available here.
