MOTORISTS, pedestrians and other road users have been warned to be extra careful this afternoon, Monday.
It follows a traffic light outage in Widnes at a busy junction, Cheshire Police is reporting.
The junction in question is where Prescot Road, Liverpool Road and Hale Road all meet.
The force’s Widnes Police team said: “Traffic lights are all out at Chestnut Lodge, so the junction of Prescot Road, Liverpool Road and Hale Road needs extra care.
“Slow down and concentrate even more, do not lose your cool and watch out for pedestrians.
“Halton Borough Council has been advised.”
