CUSTOMERS are gutted after a much-lived farm shop closed its doors.
The owners of family-run Halebank Farm Shop have shut up shop after taking a well-deserved early retirement.
The Smithy House venue sold a range of fresh items such as fruit, veg, free range eggs, milk, butter, Snugburys ice cream and Ken Webb.
It also sold firewood, kindling, plants and garden ornaments.
The store closed yesterday, Sunday, with one customer commenting: “Will really miss this beautiful shop. Enjoy your retirement.”
Another wrote: “Good luck to you both. It has been a fabulous shop. We will miss you. Enjoy your retirement.”
Posting on social media, Halebank Farm Shop said: “A note to all our lovely customers.
“We are really sorry to inform you that our farm shop will close on Sunday, June 30, at 4pm as we are taking early retirement.
“We have lots of in-store reductions to clear stock.
“We would like to thank you for all your support over the last five years – we really appreciate it.
“Hopefully we will see you before we close to say goodbye.”
