THE contents of a hairbrush found in the possession of a Creamfields reveller has seen him put behind bars.

Daniel Jackson entered the Daresbury music festival at around 6pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022, when he was stopped following a positive indication by a drugs dog.

Following a search, the 29-year-old was found to be in possession of a hairbrush that had been tampered with to allow for drugs to be hidden inside.

A quantity of empty snap bags was recovered from the hairbrush and Jackson was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.

He was released under investigation while enquiries continued.

During this time, an analysis of his phone revealed evidence of Jackson’s involvement in drug activity, and he was subsequently charged.

Appearing before Chester Crown Court, he admitted attempting to possess with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely MDMA.

Jackson, of Lionel Road in Eltham, south east London, appeared back before the court recently, where he was sentenced to two years and four months in prison.

Following the sentencing, DC Neil Fleming said: “Jackson had no option but to plead guilty to the evidence stacked against him, and now he is facing the consequences behind bars.

“I hope his sentence sends a clear message to those who think they can travel to Cheshire to sell illegal drugs – you will be prosecuted and held accountable for your actions.”

Cheshire Police said it could issue a custody mugshot of Jackson as it ‘did not have one’.
