POLICE have confirmed a missing 83-year-old woman has been found safe and well.

Earlier this evening, officers revealed they were becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Hilary Dempsey who was last spoken to at 10.15am today, Friday, but she left her home address in Woodview Crescent, Widnes, and had not been seen or heard from since.

Hilary has links to Warrington, Widnes, Garston and the Halewood area.

Hilary is described as just under 5ft tall, with grey short hair, a slight build and last seen on CCTV wearing glasses, a green cardigan, dark trousers and a black bag across her body.

Inspector Nick Bamber said: “We’d urge anyone who thinks they have seen Hilary to contact us. She is vulnerable due to ill health and we have growing concerns for her safety. Hilary may have her bus pass with her so may travel out of the Widnes area.”

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1847167.
