THREE people were injured in a crash in Runcorn yesterday, Thursday.

Emergency services attended the scene of the accident on Weston Point Expressway at around 4.45pm.

The incident involved two cars – a Mercedes and a Volkswagen – on the slip road.

Police say their injuries are ‘not believed to be life-threatening’.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 4.45pm on Thursday, June 14, police were called to reports of a collision on Weston Point Expressway, Runcorn.

“Officers attended and found there had been a collision on the slip road involving a white Mercedes and a grey Volkswagen Taigo.

“Three people were injured as a result of the collision. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.”
