KNOWSLEY Safari has Father’s Day wrapped up this year with a ‘dads go free’ day out on Father’s Day weekend (Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June).
Dads can get in free to enjoy a wild day out with the kids, but if he’d prefer the day to himself, then mum can bring them and go free instead, as the offer is for one adult in each car to go free with a full-paying child.
There will be another proud father on the Safari Drive this year as Yak dad Harry (7) and mum Mila (6) recently celebrated the birth of a young male yak on 25 April.
Keepers say the new calf has a cheeky personality and is showing signs he’ll be a confident and independent yak. But for the time being, he can often be seen interacting with the nearby Père David’s Deer or following his sister Dotty around as she chases the other animals and causes a little chaos.
The Safari is buzzing with new life following the births of the yak calf and a young Southern White Rhino, as well as the arrival of new Andean Bears, Bahia and Chui, who live at Bear Country on the Foot Safari. They enjoy climbing, chomping on bamboo sticks filled with honey and peanut butter and cracking open coconuts. There’s lots more to see on the Foot Safari too including meerkats, giraffe, Red River Hogs and Amur Tigers.
Dad will also enjoy the huge five-mile Savannah-style Safari Drive where he can channel his inner Madagascar, encountering African Lions, Somali Wild Ass, wildebeest and one of the UK’s largest rhino crashes, among hundreds of other animals.
Ian Duke, Marketing Manager, Knowsley Safari said: “Our free Father’s Day experience is a win-win for everyone. It's a great day out making memories, a fabulous present for those wild and adventurous dads and, of course, the kids are going to love it just as much as him.”
One adult goes free per car with a full-paying child.
Offer applies to visits on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June 2024 only.
Bookings must be made in advance online and can’t be used in conjunction with any other offer. To find out more information and to take advantage of Knowsley Safari’s dads go free offer all you have to do is book HERE.
