THE latest addition set to open at Albert Square Shopping Centre promises to breathe life back into Widnes.
Party World will open its doors this Saturday and will be unmissable with its bright pink shop display and the delicious aromas of its popcorn and candyfloss machines waiting inside.
Shop owner, Hannah Cooper, has transformed the rundown former site of pawnbrokers Admiral Bond, renovating it into a fun and lively balloons, card and gift shop – with affordable prices too.
The 37-year-old mum-of-one is taking her card shop one notch up with a huge offering of food and drinks that can also be purchased inside.
“We are going to have a popcorn machine, nachos stand, hot dogs, a coffee and slushie machine and a candy floss machine too,” she said.
It will also stock all the birthday essentials including, cards, balloons, badges, banners, wrapping paper and much more.
Hannah began the refurbishment project of the shop back in January and right up to a week before the grand opening, work has still been carried out to get it ready for customers to enjoy.
Another unique element to Party World is the inflatable bouncy castle that is situated on the floor above the shop, with the owner stating big plans for the opening of this area in the nearing future.
“Before October there will be an upstairs area. That will be for kids to use and will have a bouncy castle, a soft play area and a ball pit.
“People will be able to hire this area out for parties, but we will also host events up there that parents and children local can attend including Santa’s grotto’s at Christmas and Halloween parties.”
And the opening day will be just as fun, with Hannah planning to surprise residents with the pop-up bouncy castle outside the shop as well as tables and chairs for shoppers to sit and enjoy their hot dogs and popcorn on.
Speaking on her excitement for the opening of the store, Hannah added: “I think we need a bit of life back in this bit of town and this will make it more fun for children.”
