EMERGENCY services were called to Runcorn this morning, Wednesday, following a crash.
One fire engine was deployed at 8.34am to Fernhurst to attend a collision in which a car had hit a tree.
Nobody was trapped inside the vehicle, but an ambulance attended to a casualty with minor injuries.
The vehicle, a hybrid, is now being monitored by firefighters who are using a thermal image camera to check the battery temperature.
