MOTORISTS using one of the bridges linking Runcorn and Widnes will face more disruption tonight, Wednesday.
It has been confirmed that more lane closures will be in place on Mersey Gateway Bridge.
Two lanes will be shut on the River Mersey crossing due to maintenance works.
It follows similar closures last night, Tuesday.
A Mersey Gateway spokesman said: “Maintenance works are programmed to take place tonight, northbound on Mersey Gateway Bridge, between Runcorn and Widnes.
“Lanes two and three above Widnes Loops roundabout will be closed between 8pm and 5pm.
“Traffic will be diverted via the off-slip road to Widnes Loops roundabout and Ditton Junction.”
