A first-time homebuyer is set to save more than £800 per year on his energy bills following his move to a new-build home in Runcorn.
Abzee Amao began looking for a more energy efficient home after he noticed he was spending £205 a month on heating his two-bedroom flat in Salford.
The 31-year-old has since moved into a three bedroom-house in Runcorn on Linden Homes’ Hatters Chase development.
“In my search for my first home, energy efficiency became a huge priority to avoid spending money on heating my home only for it to be cold again an hour or two later,” he said.
“My new home always feels warm, even if the heating hasn’t been on for a day or two.
“This has been a blessing, especially in the winter months, not having to worry about having the heating on constantly and how much it will cost.”
Abzee, who is a doctor at a hospital in Runcorn, will now save an estimated £800 a year on his energy bills.
“Our homes are designed to the latest building standards with features to help make our homes more efficient to run without compromising on comfort and style,” said Gemma Hardy, managing director at Vistry Merseyside and Cheshire West.
“We’re pleased to have been involved in Abzee’s home buying journey and wish him many years of happiness in his new home.”
