A MAN is set to appear in court after being charged with being in possession of a ‘fighting dog’.
The charge relates to an incident that occurred on February 12 in Widnes.
Colin Loughran has been charged with possessing or having custody of a fighting dog.
The particulars of the charge allege that the dog involved is an XL bully, contrary to the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Loughran, aged 37 and of Squires Avenue in Widnes, is due to appear before Warrington Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Wednesday.
This is to make a first appearance in relation to the charge.
