A NUMBER of lorry trailers have been seized by police in Runcorn.
Officers from Cheshire Police removed the trailers from Astmoor Road in Runcorn yesterday morning, Saturday.
They said the trailers were parked up on the roadside ready to be scrapped.
But due to this stretch of road at Astmoor Industrial Estate being a clearway, they have now been removed.
The force’s Halton Castle Police team said: “On Saturday morning, officers seized five HGV trailers that were parked on a clearway waiting to be scrapped.
“The trailers were seized under section 99 of the Road Traffic Act.
“Remember, do not park on a clearway. It is an offence and your vehicle will be seized by police.”
