POLICE have charged a woman with fraud by abusing her position as a carer.
Officers from Cheshire Police investigating a report of fraud in Runcorn have now named a woman charged in relation to the incident.
Rebecca Culley, of Seneschal Court, was arrested on Thursday following a report of fraud made to police on August 16 last year.
The 32-year-old has since been charged with fraud by abuse of position and theft.
The particulars of the former allege that she committed fraud while occupying a position of carer by dishonestly abusing that position, intending to cause loss.
The latter charge alleges that she stole gold jewellery of a value unknown from the same named person.
Culley appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Friday to face the charges.
She was bailed until a hearing at Chester Crown Court on Friday, March 8.
