A FLOOD alert is currently in place for areas across Runcorn and Widnes today (Monday, February 12).
It is due to forecasts of higher-than-normal tides and affects the Mersey Estuary.
Areas at risk include: Liverpool, New Ferry, Woodside, Ellesmere Port, Runcorn, Widnes and Hale Village.
The Environment Agency anticipates that this alert level will not be reached by high tide tomorrow morning.
