WIDNES Vikings lost 46-40 against neighbours Warrington Wolves in their high-scoring final pre-season fixture of 2024.
Vikings scored seven tries against the young Warrington side, taking a 10-0 with tries from Roberts and Matty Fleming.
More tries came from Kieran Dixon, two, Sam Wilde, two, and Matty Fozard.
Dixon also kicked six goals.
The Vikings kick off their 2024 campaign on Sunday, 4 February when they travel to Heywood Road to face Swinton Lions in the 1895 Cup.
