A WANTED man from Widnes is on the run after fleeing whilst on recall to prison. 

Cheshire Police have issued an appeal, looking for the public to send in information to try and help trace the Widnes wanted man.

The wanted man, Van Hoang, is 27-years-old. Hoang has links to the Widnes area, as well as Northumbria.

Anyone who sees Hoang or has any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Cheshire Constabulary on 101, quoting IML-1741234 or via www.cheshire.police.uk/ro/report.
