A WHITE blanket of snow has fallen across Runcorn and Widnes this morning, Tuesday, turning the towns into a winter wonderland.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning this week for the north west with promises of snowfall, and after days of ice and minus temperatures, it has finally arrived.
We asked residents to send in their snowy pictures and here are a few of the best so far – featuring some very excited pups.

The Met Office states the yellow weather warning will stay in place for Halton until Thursday with more expectancy of snow and ice in the coming days.
