FIREFIGHTERS were called to a cinema which shut down earlier this year.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service crew has been putting out a small fire at Trident Park.
One engine from Runcorn arrived shortly before 1pm on Tuesday (Decmber 26) to find cardboard had been set alight at the rear of the former Cineworld.
The cinema closed for good in November, with the chain describing it as a "difficult decision".
A spokesperson said at the time: “We can confirm that following a review of all available options, we have taken the difficult decision to close Cineworld Runcorn.”
Cineworld Runcorn thanked all of its customers for choosing it as their local cinema.
“We hope to see them again soon at one of our nearby cinemas in Speke, Warrington, Broughton and St Helens,” the spokesperson added.
